Length: 22 feet 5 inches from snout to tail. Tail is 12 feet long
Wingspan: 43 feet 6 inches, and the right wing is just a bit longer than the left.
Rider: Ha! He wouldn't be caught dead wearing a collar or saddle. (Ignore the picture, still not sure why I ever originally decided to put that on originally...)
Birthplace: Stone cave located at the base of some tropical mountains. Thunderstorms were common in this region. 
Current Home: Dense forrest of a now-abandoned island

Backstory/Bio: Due to a traumatic experience as a child (more on that later), Volt has forced himself to try and forget most of his childhood. He does remember the day when he was born in a small cave on the outskirts of a small island. He remembers his first flight, his first fish, and his first kill. However, he also remembers the day he learned that his older brother, Skythorn, was shot out of the sky by pirates. Due to the entanglement on his wings, he drowned out in the sea. Volt also could forget the day his mother died of disease. The countless nights of restless sleep, the nightmares that haunted him....and as if the punchline to some sick joke, the day his dad went missing. Volt was only eight years old when his brother died, and only nine when his mother passed away. And now, another year later, his father disappears? It was like the gods were doing this on purpose, three life shattering events for three years in a row. The moment he adjusts to one, the next just comes along and slaps him across the face. With no one else to stay, with no where really to go, Volt left his only home in search of food, comfort, and companionship. But no matter where he went, he was always hunted down or chased out, still young, by either other dragons or vikings. It was exhausting on his body, and every day he felt like he would collapse, never to rise again. But at long last, he was able to discover a very small isle that seemed to have been ignored by everyone else. And the near instant he landed (after doing a quick circle to make sure he was alone), he slumped to the ground in agony. 
      Volt spent close to four years in pure seclusion, growing up and hunting what wildlife he could find. It was during this period he even started to branch out towards eating plants, but...that really wasn't his thing. He always hid whenever he heard any random noise, fearing that it would be another dragon or a person telling him to leave. But as the years passed, his paranoia began to die down as he knew nobody was going to come. He knew he had found his home, and it was all to himself. Although it felt small at first, in fact, it was just the right size for just him. Enjoying the rebuilt confidence and pride, the Nightfury finally decided it was time to finish his journey and start to look for new friends. As much as he enjoyed the privacy, it did get lonely ever now and then. So with a final goodbye, he left his little slice of paradise in search of adventure. Bigger islands! Other dragons! And new chapters to write for his life...

Personality: Will happily introduce himself and make new friends (of course, only after shaking their hand and shocking it). Volt is pretty much an open book on the outside, what you see is what you get. But that's more or less just because he's more comfortable that way. Just because he's always smiling doesn't mean he can't get mad. Volt is very often a sarcastic smart alec, but he means well. That being said, he will never pass up the chance for a clever comeback. He's can become very arrogant at times, which usually comes out when someone talks down to him. It's not always a "I'm better than you" jerk kind of arrogance, but you get the idea.
Above all, he is crafty. Volt can figure out and always (well, most of the time) get out of any situation he might find himself stuck in, by means of either brain or brawn. It's not always pretty, but hey...if it works, it works. He's smart, but that doesn't exactly mean he's wise. Definitely more on the impulsive side, which can occasionally just lead to him digging himself into a deeper hole. 
And puns. Good lord prepare for the puns.

Likes: Long flights on the beach, all varieties of fish and meat, pranking others, using his electrical abilities to prank others, talking with friends, often occasionally getting drunk, and sunning himself. He enjoys a good joke, but enjoys a good belly rub more (don't tell him I said that).

Dislikes: Being harassed/talked down to (it's a big pet peeve of his), show-offs, obviously eels (although electric eels are far less toxic, for clear reasons), Dragon-Slayers, Nightmares (the dreams, not the dragon, though he doesn't like those guys either), being called a pet, and generally anything that has to do with hygiene. He finds it a waste of time, although he does have a few valid excuses like the water messing with his electric scales. But it wouldn't kill him to actually take a good bath every now and then....On top of needing to trim those claws and polish these scales....yeah....it's mostly just laziness. 

Fears: Long flights over massive bodies of water, due to having no place to land (and water doesn't react very well with his electric abilities). Getting sick, because he's always had the irrational fear of becoming some person's lab experiment if he steps a single foot into a vet's office. And then the usual stuff like getting trapped and becoming powerless (not literally powerless, but you know, "defeated"), and stuff along those lines... 

Favorite thing to do: Showing his dominance to others. Not in a mean or arrogant way, or acting as if he "owns" the person, but just being able to prove that he's not as immature as he makes himself out to be. If there is one thing Volt hates the most, its being embarrassed or caught off guard. He could be part of a group made up out of 10 full grown dragons, and he'd still get called the hatchling. Then again, that's a one-way ticket to getting your face slapped, so....user assumes all risks of belittling the electric Nightfury. Beware.

Additional Info/More: Volt is able to send small electrical currents through his scales to dim the color of his markings, keeping his stealth factor of being a nightfury intact.
-If there is a storm nearby, Volt's strength is greatly increased. He seems to be almost "revived" with new strong energy. While he does absorb some of its energy, just the presence of the storm makes him feel more confident and powerful. 
-You never know what Volt will have up his sleeve, he's always got several tricks and backup plans. There are plenty of ways for him to sneak out of a situations he gets himself into (probably due to how often its happened), so don't underestimate him.
